The renovation of a Grade I Listed Building in the centre of Bath has been completed.
Work to convert Fitzroy House on Great Pulteney Street into 28 stylish apartments started in spring 2017.

With 19 of the high quality apartments already snapped up the first of the new owners have started to move in, securing themselves one of grandest addresses in Bath.

Bath-based Longacre is the developer behind the scheme which includes a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments.

Work to refurbish the former sheltered housing complex has included the removal of modern alterations such as suspended ceilings, doors, internal partitions and corridors along with the reinstatement of some of the building’s historic characteristics including stone floors, front doors, steps to the basement and decorative cornicing.

Longacre recently unveiled its new show flat at the development – an elegant two bedroom courtyard apartment.

Mark Tyrrell, of Longacre, said “Work began on transforming Fitzroy House just over a year ago and we are delighted with the progress that has been made.

“We take pride in our work and have been involved with a number of projects in Bath, which have taken redundant listed buildings and sympathetically renovated and restored them creating elegant and stylish housing.

“We are pleased to welcome the new homeowners at Fitzroy House, which now sits proudly on one of Bath’s most famous streets.”

Apartments on the lower levels boast gardens or courtyard space, whereas apartments on higher levels enjoy stunning views of Bath and have access to attractive communal gardens.

Fitzroy House provides lift access to the majority of flats and car parking onsite for selected apartments.

Savills Bath are acting as agents for the scheme. Prices start from £445,000.

Longacre has extensive experience in converting Bath’s Listed Buildings including the renovation of a redundant Grade I Listed Building in the city centre at One Bilbury Lane. The project created six luxury apartments and a bespoke penthouse apartment.
